Qantas Airways (ASX:QAN) is on the path to recovery but will need to wait another 18 months for a new aircraft to improve its service, Chairman John Mullen said, according to a Tuesday report by The Australian.
Mullen pointed to delays in aircraft deliveries as a factor holding back the airline's customer experience amid strong demand for air travel, adding that the airline's new management team is focused on moving beyond past challenges, per the report.
Mullen also said that with the influx of new aircraft, the airline is pursuing a
capital investment program.
