Naver Financial will introduce a stock trading connection service for brokerage trading platforms by the first half of 2025, Pulse News reported, citing a source from the financial platform.
The Naver (KRX:035420) subsidiary has begun talks with several securities firms to adopt the service, which will serve as a network between its Naver Pay Securities investment page and the brokerages, industry sources told the news agency.
The major securities firms include Mirae Asset Securities, NH Investment & Securities, Korea Investment & Securities, Hana Securities, KB Securities, and Daishin Securities, the report said.
Naver Financial's earlier plan to drive new account openings and stock trading directly on its website faced criticism from the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), saying that it would need regulatory clearance, according to the report.
The company revised its plan, which the FSS recognized as part of outsourced work and was ultimately approved, the report said.
