3 月 11 日，周一美股盘后，马斯克表示，他正以“极大的困难”运营自己的企业。
马斯克接受福克斯商业频道采访，主持人 Larry Kudlow 提到，马斯克担任政府效率部（DOGE）主管后，牺牲了自己其他业务的时间，并问道：“你现在是怎么管理其他公司的？”
马斯克苦笑道：“非常困难。”随后，他叹了口气，说道：“我现在只是想让政府更高效，消除浪费和欺诈。目前，我们的节省已超过每天 40 亿美元，进展其实相当不错。”
马斯克还透露，目前 DOGE 团队已有 100 多名成员，未来可能扩展到 200 人。“除非有人阻止我们，否则我们将实现 1 万亿美元的节省。”
马斯克同日还表示，DOGE 几乎已经渗透至美国政府的所有部门，DOGE 正从金融和科技领域招募人手。他预计将在特朗普政府中再任职一年。（华尔街见闻）
