Seaport Entertainment Group (SEG) said Tuesday that it has signed a new 20-year agreement with immersive arts and entertainment company Meow Wolf to lease nearly 75,000 rentable square feet across multiple floors at Pier 17 in New York's harbor district.
Meow Wolf New York will be the company's seventh permanent exhibit in the US and its first on the East Coast. Other locations are operating in Denver, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, and Santa Fe, New Mexico, with another exhibit soon slated to open in Los Angeles.
Construction on the New York exhibit is expected to begin this summer, Seaport said.
Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.
Seaport shares were down 2.6% in recent trading on Tuesday.
