American Airlines Expects NTSB Report Today on Jan. 29 Crash -- Market Talk

1014 ET - The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to issue a preliminary report later today on the January 29 mid-air collision of American Airlines Flight 5342 with a U.S. Army helicopter, American Airlines CEO Robert Isom says at the 2025 JPMorgan Industrials Conference. Isom says he's been working weekly, if not daily, with NTSB head Jennifer Homendy in the agency's ongoing investigation and that the crash is part of why American cut revenue guidance for 1Q. "I do not believe that this incident will have a long-term impact on the industry or American," the CEO says, adding, "that said, it has had a real impact on this first quarter." (dean.seal@wsj.com)
