Jardine Matheson Swings to Attributable Loss in 2024

Jardine Matheson (SGX:J36) booked an attributable loss of $468 million during the year ended Dec. 31, 2024 against an attributable profit of $686 million a year earlier, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Monday.

Loss per share came in at $1.61 compared with earnings per share of $2.37 in the comparable period. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha had projected earnings per share of $3.30.

Revenue was down 1% year over year to $35.8 billion from $36.0 billion. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha had projected a revenue of $34.9 billion.

The company declared a full year dividend of $2.25 per share during the period.

Shares of the company were up nearly 2% in recent trading.
