2230 GMT - Smash repair group AMA looks a strong candidate to upgrade its FY 2025 earnings guidance next month or in May, says Bell Potter. AMA likely held back from improving its guidance when reporting its 1H result in February because 2Q repair volumes were weak in Victoria state and this negatively impacted AMA Collision. Analyst Chris Savage says the company wanted to wait and see if volumes rebounded in 3Q. "Anecdotal evidence suggests volumes have indeed rebounded in Victoria this quarter--and remained robust in other states," Bell Potter says. This should result in a better performance from AMA Collision, and supports repeated good results from Capital SMART and Wales in 2H, the bank says. It retains a buy call on AMA's stock.
