China Environmental Energy Investment (HKG:0986) proposed changing its name to "Dufu Liquor Group Limited" to align with its shift from jewelry to liquor sales, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The decision will be voted on at a special general meeting on April 1. If approved, the new name will take effect after regulatory approval in Bermuda.
The company recently signed an agreement to distribute Sichuan Dufujiu's liquor products across Asia.
The company's share price was up by 6% in recent trading.
