Luckin Coffee has won a trademark infringement dispute against Thailand's Royal 50R Group after a court upheld the company's trademark rights, Yicai Global reported Tuesday, citing Luckin Coffee's post on Weibo.
Thailand's Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court mandated Royal 50R to pay 46 million Thai baht in damages and legal costs to Luckin Coffee, the report said.
Furthermore, the Thai company is now prohibited from using any trademarks associated with Luckin Coffee.
This legal victory follows Luckin Coffee's relaunch of its copyright infringement lawsuit, after an initial setback in 2023. The dispute arose from Royal 50R's use of a logo and product design that closely resembled Luckin Coffee's established branding.
