DFS Furniture said it is on track to deliver full-year profit ahead of market expectations after a strong performance during the first 10 weeks of the second half.

The U.K. furniture retailer on Thursday said it expects to deliver underlying profit before tax and brand amortization--the company's preferred metric--between 25 million and 29 million pounds ($32.4 million-$37.6 million). Analysts expected 22.7 million pounds, according to consensus estimates compiled by the company.

Longer term, the group remains confident in achieving its targets of 1.4 billion pounds in revenue and an 8% profit-before-tax margin.

For the first half of fiscal 2025, it booked revenue of 504.4 million pounds, down 0.1% compared with the prior-year period.

Underlying profit before tax and brand amortization stood at 17 million pounds for the period ended Dec. 29, at the upper end of the company's expectations and higher than the prior-year's 8.7 million pounds.
