TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto announced that the 2025 Eid allowance (THR) for civil servants, military and police personnel, and retirees will be disbursed two weeks before Eid al-Fitr, starting Monday, March 17, 2025.
The allowance includes the basic salary, fixed allowances, and full performance allowances. “The performance allowance will be paid in full,” Prabowo stated at the Merdeka Palace on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Additionally, the government will provide a full 13th-month salary to civil servants, set to be paid at the start of the new school year in June 2025.
This salary package mirrors the Eid allowance and applies to both central and regional civil servants, with regional allocations adjusted based on budget capabilities. Retirees, meanwhile, will receive their regular pension payments.
Prabowo has signed Government Regulation No. 11 of 2025, ensuring that the Eid allowance and 13th-month salary are granted to all central and regional government employees, including civil servants, PPPK personnel, military, police, judges, and retirees—covering a total of 9.4 million recipients.
The administration has allocated Rp 50 trillion for the Eid allowance, ensuring timely disbursement. The Ministry of Economy’s Coordinating Spokesperson, Haryo Limanseto, confirmed that the funds will be released at least three weeks before Eid to sustain economic momentum.
“Expediting the Eid allowance disbursement with a Rp 50 trillion budget is intended to boost purchasing power, strengthen domestic consumption, and drive economic activity, particularly in trade and services,” Haryo explained in an official statement on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
The private sector must also ensure Eid allowance payments, with a deadline set no later than one week before Eid, which is estimated to fall on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Haryo emphasized that the peak of household spending during Ramadan will be a key economic driver, supporting macroeconomic stability and overall growth targets.
