Orica Chief Executive Officer Sanjeev Ghandi has labelled the ongoing tariff stoush as a “disruption” in a “very volatile” world.
On Sunday, Orica revealed their first-half profit will be higher than expected.
The company has operations in 100 countries and relies heavily on gas and energy, which could be affected by Donald Trump’s fresh tariffs.
“It is another disruption in a very volatile world,” Mr Ghandi told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
“Anything that happens anywhere in the world, Orica gets impacted positively and negatively.
“Tariffs are just another piece of the puzzle now.”
