Communications services companies slipped as traders fled risky sectors due to fears of a multifront economic war.
Comcast NBCUniversal has broadened its relationship with the International Olympic Committee and extended its media rights to the Olympic Games on its various platforms in the U.S. through 2036 in $3 billion deal.
Belgian authorities detained several people as part of an investigation into alleged corruption within the European Parliament that they say was committed for the benefit of China's Huawei Technologies. Huawei-made phones have been banned from sale in the U.S. since 2022.
