TEMPO.CO, JakartaFormer Pertamina Commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, known as Ahok, has stated that he is prepared to provide meeting records from his tenure between 2019 and 2024 to the Attorney General’s Office (AGO). He hopes the data will be able to assist the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the management of crude oil at Pertamina’s subholdings from 2018 to 2023.

"If requested, I will provide the records," Ahok said before entering the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) office in South Jakarta on Thursday, March 13. The former Jakarta governor was summoned as a witness in the case, which involves executives from Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kilang Pertamina Internasional, and Pertamina International Shipping.

The former Pertamina chief commissioner arrived at the AGO complex at 8:36 AM. To reporters, he expressed his willingness to cooperate with investigators. "I am happy to assist the AGO. I will share everything I know," he said.

The AGO is investigating suspected collusion between Pertamina’s subholdings and private companies to circumvent bidding procedures for crude oil and fuel procurement. The scheme allegedly involved a 13-15 percent contract markup for shipping, as well as the purchase of RON 92 fuel, which was then substituted with lower-spec RON 90 fuel.

Prosecutors estimate state losses from the corruption case at Rp193.7 trillion. Nine people have been named as suspects, including six Pertamina subholding executives and three private-sector individuals.

The Pertamina executives under investigation are:

  • Riva Siahaan, President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN)
  • Sani Dinar Saifuddin, Director of Feedstock Optimization & Products at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI)
  • Yoki Firnandi, President Director of PT Pertamina International Shipping
  • Maya Kusmaya, Director of Central Marketing & Commerce at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga
  • Edward Corne, VP of Trading Operations at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga
  • Agus Purwono, VP of Feedstock Management at PT KPI

The three private-sector individuals identified are:

  • Muhammad Kerry Adrianto Riza, beneficial owner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa
  • Dimas Werhaspati, Commissioner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa and PT Jenggala Maritim
  • Gading Ramadhan Joede, Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim and PT Orbit Terminal Merak
