1349 ET - Mattel inked a licensing agreement with Warner Brothers Discovery last month, regaining the rights to develop toys based on DC characters such as Batman and Superman. The partnership is important, CEO Ynon Kreiz says at the UBS Global Consumer and Retail Conference, because "it's among the upper echelon of the brands in the industry overall." The company intends to roll out a broad range of products starting in the second half of 2026, ranging from kids toys to high-end collectables aimed at adults. Kreiz says he expects the deal to meaningfully contribute to business: "It will be an important part of our portfolio and one that we believe we can elevate from its current level and take it to new heights," he adds.
