CVS Health (CVS) said Friday that data from its weight management program showed participants lost an average of 15% of their weight.

The data was derived from 265,000 patients participating in the program. They included those using GLP-1 anti-obesity medications, who nearly doubled their pre-program weight loss while working with the program to change their diet and lifestyle, the company said.

"The data are clear: GLP-1 weight-loss drugs work best when combined with nutrition, lifestyle support and proper dosing2," said Michelle Gourdine, chief medical officer at CVS Caremark.
