Vicarious Surgical has hired Sarah Romano as chief financial officer of the robotics-technology company, effective April 1.

Vicarious on Thursday said Romano, 45 years old, most recently served as chief financial officer of Entero Therapeutics, which announced her resignation earlier this month.

William Kelly, Vicarious' previous chief financial officer, stepped down earlier this year but agreed to provide consulting and advisory services to the Waltham, Mass., company through 2028.

Vicarious said Romano will receive an annual base salary of $435,000 and an annual bonus with a target of 40% of her base pay.
