Anheuser-Busch InBev denied its Asia-Pacific unit Budweiser Brewing APAC (HKG:1876) is planning to reduce its workforce by the thousands in 2025, Reuters reported Thursday.

"We will continue our long-term investment in China," Reuters quoted an AB InBev spokesperson as saying.

The brewery will cut its operational expenses by about 15% in 2025, including thousands of job cuts, in addition to a 16% reduction of its 25,000-strong workforce in 2024, Bloomberg News reported separately.

The cuts would mostly come from China where most of its workforce is located, according to Bloomberg.
