1440 ET - The big question Adobe is facing? Whether it will be a winner or loser in the artificial intelligence boom, according to Quilter Cheviot's Ben Barringer. The analyst says Adobe is generating $125m in revenues from AI related activities. "On its own that is fine, and the business does expect that to double next year, however, for a company that generates north of $23bn in revenue, it remains [a] pittance," Barringer says. Adobe has long dominated the design software space, but that could be at risk if it can't keep up with AI trends and cedes market share to rival Canva, the analyst adds. Given the potential for market disruption, "you would have to say it is more likely to be a loser," Barringer says. Adobe sinks 13%. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
