Donatella Versace's Role Change Mirrors Moves at Other Luxury Brands -- Market Talk

1127 ET - Donatella Versace's slated departure as the creative mastermind behind the Versace brand speaks to broader changes happening across all luxury brands. Versace-owner Capri Holdings said Donatella Versace will step down on April 1 and move into the chief brand ambassador role. As demand for luxury goods has waned since 2022, the companies behind high-priced apparel and accessories are tapping new leaders to reinvigorate the creative vision and interest in their products. Gucci, owned by Kering, in February replaced its creative director, joining a string of other brands including Chanel and Tom Ford to replace their creative heads recently.
