BlockBeats News, March 14th, according to the UK media Sky News, British police and prosecutors stated that a National Crime Agency (NCA) official has been charged with stealing nearly £60,000 worth of Bitcoin during an investigation into organized crime on the internet.
A spokesperson for the Merseyside Police stated that 42-year-old Paul Chowles is accused of 15 offenses related to the theft of 50 bitcoins in 2017. Eight years ago, the value of these cryptocurrencies was close to £60,000, and now it exceeds £3 million. Chowles is due to appear in court next month at Liverpool Magistrates' Court.
