BOE Could Cut Rates to 3.5% By Year-End, to Hold Rates Next Week, Deutsche Bank Says -- Market Talk

1523 GMT - Deutsche Bank Research expects four more interest-rate cuts by the Bank of England in 2025, lowering rates to 3.50%. However, interest rates should stay on hold at 4.50% at the BOE's next decision on March 20, the German bank's economist Sanjay Raja says in a note. "A 'gradual and careful' approach, in our view, leans against the need for back-to-back rate cuts - especially with headline CPI on the rise," Raja says. Markets price in a 92% probability of the BOE keeping rates on hold in March, and two more BOE rate cuts in 2025, LSEG data show. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
