Apollo Takes Majority Stake in U.K. Energy Group at $1 Billion-Plus Valuation

Apollo agreed to acquire a majority stake in British OEG Energy Group at a valuation of more than $1 billion.

The U.S. investment firm said Wednesday that the transaction is expected to close in the second quarter this year.

Oaktree Capital Management and other shareholders will retain a minority equity interest in the offshore energy supplier, it said.
