智通财经APP获悉，力拓(RIO.US)周三晚些时候为其双重上市结构进行辩护，并呼吁股东投票反对对冲基金Palliser Capital审查该公司在伦敦和悉尼两地上市的提案。据悉，力拓将在4月3日和5月1日召开年度股东大会。
力拓表示，统一上市结构将对公司及其股东造成“价值破坏”，而有关双重上市结构导致500亿美元价值缩水的说法是“毫无根据且具有误导性的”。
Palliser Capital正在推动力拓将公司结构统一为一家澳大利亚注册公司，称当前的双重上市侵蚀了股东价值，并呼吁进行独立审查以评估统一结构是否符合股东的最佳利益。
代理咨询公司Glass Lewis和Institutional Shareholder Services本周建议股东投票支持 Palliser的提议，即对力拓的双重上市结构进行审查。
Palliser管理着11亿美元的资产，并持有约3亿美元的力拓股份。力拓市值超过1000亿美元。
在维权投资者的压力下，力拓竞争对手必和必拓(BHP.US)于2022年结束了类似的双重上市结构，目前主要上市地在澳大利亚。
