【环球智驾综合报道】据路透社报道，通用汽车（GM）宣布，将使用英伟达（Nvidia）的人工智能芯片和软件来开发其车辆的自动驾驶技术，并改善工厂的工作流程。据了解，传统汽车制造商在商业化自动驾驶技术方面一直面临困难，这项技术比预期更具挑战性且成本高昂，但它已成为提升销量并从车主处获取订阅收入的一种途径。

对于此次合作，通用汽车一方面利用英伟达的平台构建人工智能系统，以训练用于工厂规划的AI制造模型；另一方面计划使用英伟达的自动驾驶技术来开发未来的高级驾驶辅助系统（ADAS）。通用汽车的一位发言人表示，两家公司在人工智能在制造领域的应用上有着战略合作，通用汽车将从英伟达购买用于驾驶辅助技术的芯片。

而值得一提的是，通用汽车曾使用过英伟达的芯片为其自动驾驶Cruise机器人出租车提供动力。但在去年关闭机器人出租车业务（转而专注于个人车辆的自动驾驶技术）前，通用汽车已开始自主研发定制芯片，以降低成本并减少对外部供应商的依赖。且通用汽车此前就已使用英伟达的平台来训练AI模型，包括用于模拟和验证。

除此之外，据通用汽车预测，其Super Cruise驾驶辅助技术将在五年内实现约20亿美元的年收入。Super Cruise在前三年免费使用，之后客户可选择以每月25美元或每年250美元的价格订阅。（南木）
