路透3月19日 - 美国总统特朗普周三在白宫接见石油行业高管，他计划在油价下跌以及贸易战迫在眉睫的情况下，提高国内能源产量。
这是特朗普自1月重返白宫以来首次与石油和天然气行业领袖举行会谈。
内政部长柏根(Doug Burgum)和能源部长赖特(Chris Wright)在会后对记者表示，讨论的重点在于提升美国的能源主导地位、改革许可流程，以及建设国家电网的必要性，以在人工智能$(AI)$领域与中国竞争。
原本预计这些行业高管会对特朗普的关税政策表示担忧，并强调行业观点，即需要提高油价，以帮助特朗普兑现其增加国内产量的承诺。不过柏根表示，实际上并未讨论价格问题，因价格由供需关系决定。
消息人士称，美国石油协会$(API)$执行委员会成员参加了此次会议。根据公开履历，API执委会的领导者包括Hess Corp HES.N、埃克森美孚（ExxonMobil） XOM.N 、雪佛龙（Chevron） CVX.N 、康菲石油国际（ConocoPhillips） COP.N、Phillips 66 PSX.N以及马拉松原油(Marathon Petroleum)MPC.N 等公司的CEO。
API总裁Mike Sommers在声明中表示，行业领导者很高兴有机会与特朗普交谈，不过并未透露会议的具体内容。(完)
