BlockBeats 消息，3 月 19 日，据彭博社报道，接受彭博社调查的 108 位预测人士中，每一位预测人士都预测，美联储 FOMC 将维持政策不变，目标区间上限为 4.5%。这将是美联储连续第二次维持政策不变，此前美联储主席杰罗姆·鲍威尔及其同事在去年年底实施了三次降息，总计降息 1 个百分点。美联储以及整个经济面临的是未来几个月和几个季度经济增长和通胀前景异常不确定。
通胀方面，关税上调引发了人们对消费者价格再次上涨的担忧——美联储尚未完成让物价回到 2% 目标的任务。核心个人消费支出指数（不包括食品和能源）的最新读数为 2.6%。美联储此前预测的年底通胀率为 2.5%。至于美联储新的政策利率前景，问题在于官员们的预测中值是否与 12 月的预测一致，即 2025 年降息两次。毕马威首席经济学家黛安·斯旺克 (Diane Swonk) 表示：“降息轨迹将会有相当大的分散性，因为存在不确定性。”
