智通财经APP获悉，矿业巨头力拓(RIO.US)周三表态支持其双重上市结构，并呼吁股东投票反对伦敦对冲基金Palliser Capital提出的审查该公司在伦敦和悉尼两地上市状况的决议。
这家全球最大的铁矿石生产商表示，已对该结构进行了全面深入的审查，并与包括Palliser在内的众多利益相关方进行了沟通。此前，该公司已建议其伦敦股东投票反对该决议。
力拓周三表示：“集团无需通过统一双重上市公司(DLC)结构来获得战略灵活性。”
力拓表示，统一上市结构将对集团及其股东造成价值损害。力拓将于4月3日在伦敦举行年度股东大会，并于5月1日在珀斯举行澳大利亚股东大会。
去年12月，激进投资者Palliser Capital及其他100多名股东提出决议，要求审查力拓的双重上市模式，并敦促该公司仅保留在澳大利亚的上市地位。他们认为此举将提振公司股价。
然而，澳大利亚股东对此并不热衷，他们认为这将侵蚀公司价值。
竞争对手必和必拓(BHP.US)在激进投资者的压力下，于2022年结束了类似的双重上市结构，目前主要在澳大利亚上市。
