China Resources Power (HKG:0836) recorded a 31% rise in attributable profit for the year 2024 to HK$14.4 billion from HK$11 million a year prior, a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

Basic EPS rose to HK$2.97 in the year from HK$2.29 in 2023. Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated EPS at HK$2.98.

The power company's turnover for the year increased 1.9% to HK$105.3 billion from HK$103.3 billion in the year-ago period, mainly due to a boost in the net generation volume of consolidated power plants.

Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting a turnover of HK$104.8 billion.

The firm has recommended a final dividend of HK$0.691 per share for the year, payable July 23 to shareholders of record on June 13.
