0846 ET - Darden Restaurants missed Wall Street's 3Q comparable sales forecasts, but multiple analysts seemed to expect it and the market hasn't punished the stock too harshly. Comparable sales rose just 0.7% overall. Darden's Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse chains both underperformed analyst estimates, but Oppenheimer analysts recently said that was a possibility given sloppy industry data for January and February due to adverse weather in parts of the country, a challenging flu season and overall consumer weakness. UBS analysts recently said investors were gearing up for a comps miss. Shares are flat premarket at $188.(dean.seal@wsj.com)
