智通财经APP获悉，此前，外媒报道称，爱迪生国际公司(EIX.US)旗下南加州爱迪生电力公司的一项调查越来越聚焦于一条已退役的电力线路是否重新通电，进而引发了1月份的伊顿大火，这场大火导致17人丧生。周一盘前，爱迪生国际股价一度下跌2.6%，截至发稿，该股下跌1.37%。

这条线路与电网并无连接，但南加州爱迪生电力公司担心它可能是火灾的起因。调查人员正在试图确定它是否因一种名为 “感应” 的现象——即由电磁力产生的电流——而带电。

爱迪生国际公司首席执行官佩德罗·皮萨罗在接受采访时表示：“我们确实高度关注并聚焦于感应理论。因为这条线路并未与任何设备连接，所以感应最终成为主要的假设原因。”

调查结果对南加州爱迪生电力公司至关重要。如果其设备被认定为引发火灾的原因，该公司将面临数十亿美元的潜在赔偿责任。这场大火烧毁了约1.4万英亩土地和6000多所房屋，成为加利福尼亚州历史上破坏力第二大的火灾。

报道称，南加州爱迪生电力公司可以动用该州设立的一笔210亿美元的基金，以帮助电力公司应对与破坏性火灾相关的赔偿责任成本。但要想使用这笔基金且无需偿还，该公司需要向加州监管机构证明，其对这条闲置线路的维护是合理的，或符合行业通用标准。
