President Donald Trump fired two Democratic commissioners at the Federal Trade Commission.

One of those affected posted about his firing on social media, and a government official who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed both firings. Alvaro Bedoya, a commissioner since 2022, said: "The president just illegally fired me. This is corruption plain and simple."
