Many Peaks Minerals (ASX:MPK) said an initial diamond core drilling campaign at the Ferké gold project in the Ivory Coast confirmed substantial extensions to gold mineralization and intersected a previously undetected high-grade gold shoot, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
It reported significant intercepts of 47 meters at 3.72 grams-per-tonne grade of gold from the surface and 11 meters at 2.16 g/t grade of gold from 53 meters.
An extensive air core drilling program is in progress on extension targets while a diamond drilling campaign will begin in April to test extensions to the high-grade shoots.
The firm's shares rose 13% in recent trading on Monday.
