Clive Palmer spends $500k on YouTube ads in 10 days

Clive Palmer has spent more on YouTube advertising in the past 10 days than Labor and the Coalition have spent since the start of the year, as the mining billionaire ramps up his $90 million “Make Australia Great Again” election pitch.

Trumpet of Patriots, the political party that appointed Palmer as chairman last month, has spent $509,000 on 77 YouTube ads since March 6, according to data from Google’s transparency portal. In comparison, since the shadow election campaign kicked off on January 6, the Australian Labor Party has spent $480,000, while the Liberal Party has spent $262,000.
