China Shenhua Energy (HKG:1088, SHA:601088) recorded a 1.9% boost in commercial coal production volume to 27 million tons in February from 26.5 million tons a year prior, a March 14 filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
Coal sales reached 34.3 million tons in the month, down 11% from 38.7 million tons in the year-ago period.
The power company's gross power generation increased by 6.2% to around 16 billion kilowatt-hours in February from 15.1 billion kilowatt-hours a year prior.
In January to February, coal output and sales fell by 2.6% and 16% to 53.1 million tons and 64.7 million tons, respectively.
