Rimfire Pacific Mining (ASX:RIM) started an air-core drilling program at its Currajong scandium prospect in New South Wales, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program involves drilling 200 holes to follow up high-grade drill intercepts, to be completed in two months, the filing said.
The results will support the estimation of a maiden scandium mineral resource for the prospect, according to the filing.
Shares rose nearly 8% in recent Monday trade.
