Myer Holdings (ASX:MYR) reported Wednesday that its earnings per diluted share in the fiscal first half fell to AU$0.036 from AU$0.06 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting EPS of AU$0.049.
Revenue from the sale of goods for the six months ended Jan. 25 was AU$1.35 billion, down from AU$1.38 billion in the same period a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected sales revenue of AU$1.48 billion.
Sale of goods for the period stood at AU$1.38 billion, compared with AU$1.4 billion a year earlier. Total sales were flat at AU$1.83 billion.
The company will pay a special dividend of AU$0.025 per share on Thursday to shareholders on record as of Jan. 28.
