美联储理事Waller为反对放慢缩表辩护 称银行体系准备金很充裕
美联储理事Christopher Waller表示，银行体系仍有足够的准备金，可以让美联储维持国债月减持规模不变。
政策制定者本周同意4月起放慢缩表步伐，把美联储每月到期后不再进行再投资的美债规模上限从250亿美元下调至50亿美元。抵押贷款支持证券的上限维持在350亿美元不变。
Waller反对这一决定，他更倾向于将美国国债减持速度维持在每月250亿美元。他同意美联储维持利率不变的决定。
Waller在美联储理事会周五发布的声明中表示，“随着我们越来越接近充足的准备金水平，进一步放慢或停止所持证券的赎回将是适当的。但我认为我们现在不是这个情况，因为准备金余额超过3万亿美元，这个水平已经相当富余”。
Waller表示，美联储在减少投资组合的同时，拥有多种工具来应对市场动荡。
