由于温暖天气可能会降低对天然气的需求，基金经理们对天然气的看涨押注出现了一年来的最大幅度削减。

美国商品期货交易委员会的数据显示，截至3月18日当周，7种天然气合约的多头头寸减少了65,372份合约，至626,232份。这使得净多头头寸降至一个多月来的最低水平。

对冲基金大幅削减天然气看涨押注

在上周空头头寸大幅增加之后，市场开始转向看跌。天然气价格在所谓的“平季”(shoulder season)开始时下跌，而此时需求通常会减弱。根据气象预报公司Maxar Technologies的预测，3月底美国中西部至东部地区的气温将转暖，预计几乎整个美国的气温都将高于正常水平。
