消息面上，中集集团此前在互动平台回应称，中集集团主要涉及深海科技两大方面的探索：一是深海油气开采装备制造与服务。中集海工旗下烟台中集来福士建造的“蓝鲸1号”与“蓝鲸2号”超深水双钻塔半潜式钻井平台，是我国自主设计建造的重大成果，是中国船厂在海洋工程超深水领域的首个“交钥匙”工程，最大作业水深3658米，最大钻井深度15240米，是全球作业水深、钻井深度最深的半潜式钻井平台。二是深海新能源开发相关业务。中集集团不断完善方案，推动开发海洋新能源的进程，推动海上风电产业降本增效，不断孵化海上漂浮式光伏等。2024年，联合研发建造并交付全球首个竹基复合材料海上漂浮式光伏平台“集林一号”。
上海市海洋局将出台《上海市海洋产业发展规划(2025-2035年)》《上海市海洋观测网规划(2025-2035年)》，印发《关于推动上海海洋经济高质量发展加快建设现代海洋城市的实施意见》。此前，2025年政府工作报告首次将“深海科技”列为战略性新兴产业重点领域，明确提出推动其安全健康发展。中信证券表示，未来中央和地方将围绕深海科技发布支持政策和产业规划，随着产业建设加速，相关领域核心公司投资价值凸显。
