NZME (ASX:NZM, NZE:NZM) confirmed that Stuff has paused discussions over NZME's proposed acquisition of Stuff's digital and print assets, according to a Friday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
The negotiations between the parties were paused following a proposal from JTG 4, owned by Jim Grenon, to alter NZME's board composition, the filing said.
The discussions are expected to be paused until NZME's Annual Shareholders' Meeting when the board's makeup will be determined.
