Genting (KLSE:GENTING) agreed to pay a $10.5 million fine to the Nevada Gaming Commission as part of an agreement to settle a complaint about Resorts World Las Vegas operations, according to a Friday Malaysian bourse filing.
In a stipulation for settlement and order signed with the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Genting unit Resorts World Las Vegas did not admit or deny the allegations in the complaint but agreed to pay the fine and improve its anti-money laundering (AML) program and practices.
Resorts World Las Vegas also agreed to review and update the AML program yearly and retain all employee AML training records.
The final approval on the settlement deal is pending at a March 27 hearing by the Nevada Gaming Commission.
