March 24 - (The Insurer) - The Fidelis Partnership's MGA incubator platform Pine Walk Capital has launched Sevanta Specialty Liability, an MGA focused on international casualty business.
Sevanta will focus on niche international specialty liability, written on both a primary and excess basis across a global portfolio, The Fidelis Partnership said.
It is Pine Walk's first casualty MGA and will be led by former Sompo International head of international casualty Jon Hiller. He will be joined by George Hutton, who will act as a senior underwriter.
Sevanta is Pine Walk's 12th MGA offering and follows a number of launches in late 2024, including Silverflame Re and property-focused Seraphina.
Pine Walk increased its gross written premium by 11% to $900 million in 2024, The Fidelis Partnership said. In September 2024, Pine Walk CEO Rinku Patel told The Insurer that the MGA platform expected to surpass $1 billion in GWP in 2025.
