Korea Electric Power (KRX:015760) will keep the adjusted unit fuel cost at 5 won per kilowatt-hour for the second quarter of 2025, despite a planned reduction to -4.2 won due to declining fuel prices, Yonhap News reported Friday.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy directed the state-run electric power distribution company to freeze the rate to support its financial stability. The rate has remained unchanged since the third quarter of 2022, the report said.
