Carnival Bookings Reflect Smooth Sailing for Cruise Demand -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

09:46 ET -- Carnival does not appear to be experiencing any of the declines in traveler spending that companies like Delta Air Lines cited when it lowered guidance earlier this month. The cruise line had "incredibly strong demand" in 1Q even though it was charging higher prices for bookings due to less inventory. Travelers are booking cruises further in advance. Carnival said the vast majority of 2025 is booked with pricing in constant currency at historic highs. Booking volumes for 2026 and beyond reached an all-time high. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
