Meta Health (SGX:5DX) said it received a statutory demand for SG$216,667 from former chief medical officer Vasanthan Metupalle related to a 2022 share purchase agreement, according to a Friday filing on the Singapore Exchange.

Metupalle claims that the sum is owed to his spouse, Jagannathan Padmaja Sakthi, for the sale of her Gainhealth shares, which she assigned to him on March 17.

The demand, issued under Singapore's Insolvency Act, seeks payment within 21 days.

Meta Health called the claim baseless and said it would consult legal counsel to protect its interests.
