美国特勤局（US Secret Service）周五表示，特勤局局长肖恩·柯兰（Sean Curran）本周在密歇根州与通用汽车（GM）高管会面，讨论了下一代装甲SUV的相关事宜。目前，通用汽车正在研发新一代总统座驾。

　　特勤局在社交媒体平台X上表示，局长柯兰与通用汽车高管会面，“讨论了可能有益于下一代装甲SUV的技术进展。”通用汽车尚未立即对其位于密歇根州沃伦的全球设计中心的这次会面发表评论。

　　美国特勤局补充道：“应对不断变化的威胁要求我们不断探索新的创新和改进，以提升我们的装甲防护车队。”

　　去年9月，美国国土安全部和特勤局授予通用汽车一份价值1480万美元的合同，用于开发下一代总统座驾（绰号“野兽”）。该合同的总价值可能高达4080万美元，有效期至2029年。这一合同此前未被报道。

　　特勤局周五发布了一张访问期间的照片，照片中是一辆配备总统旗帜的凯迪拉克凯雷德（Cadillac Escalade）SUV，旁边是一幅巨大的总统徽章图案。总统通常乘坐一辆装甲雪佛兰萨博班（Chevrolet Suburban）出行。

　　特勤局本周早些时候表示，目前尚不清楚下一代总统座驾何时加入车队。

　　特勤局发言人表示：“目前距离公布具体成本或日期还为时过早。我们的工程、保护行动和技术安全团队多年来一直在努力开发最先进的框架，用于生产这些高度先进的车辆。”
