Sakura Internet (TYO:3778) approved a 5.3 billion yen investment to expand its Ishikari Data Center in Hokkaido, aiming to support future cloud service demand, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The company plans to spend 2.5 billion yen each on expanding the C Zone and D Zone of Building No. 3, with construction starting in August and November, respectively.
An additional 300 million yen will fund a new generator at Building No. 2, with work beginning in November 2026. Kajima Corporation will handle the construction.
