据德国《焦点》周刊23日报道，印度班加罗尔一家公司的首席执行官（CEO）古普塔最近在职业社交网站领英上对 Z 世代（或“互联网世代”，指1995年至2009年出生的一代人）的数学解题能力提出质疑。

古普塔讲述了他在大学里招聘各专业毕业生的情况。他表示，自己向50多名学生提问数学题目，结果只有两名学生回答正确。他认为，Z世代精通社交媒体，但缺乏基本的数学和金融技能，他呼吁教育工作者、雇主和导师缩小这一技能差距。对此，有反对者评论称：“应该责怪人工智能，而不是学生。”还有网民评论：“这和招聘有关系吗？如果你招的是数学辅导老师，那我理解你的担忧。”与此同时，Z世代在写作和阅读等其他方面的基本技能也表现出困难。有媒体称，数字设备的广泛使用削弱了这一代人的写作能力。
