0917 GMT - A number of European companies outside the defense industry such as Siemens, Bodycote, Hexagon and Volvo will benefit from rising European military spending, UBS analysts say. This is because they offer services or products used by aerospace and defense groups, they add. Industrial software players such as Siemens and Hexagon sell simulation programs to the armed forces, whereas Bodycote has about 6% exposure to the defense business as a provider of heat treatment and surfacing technologies, the analysts say. Volvo and other vehicle manufacturers such as Traton produce military trucks, they add. Siemens is down 1.3%, Bodycote is down 0.2%, Hexagon is down 1.2%, Volvo is down 1.1%, and Traton is down 0.5%.
